RICHMOND, Ky. - A cloud of excitement sits over Richmond, Kentucky today, as one of our own, Ahmed Jaziri, turns pro. The Tunisia native has agreed to a contract with Under Armour's Mission Run Baltimore Distance Team, based out of Maryland.

Both the EKU men's (3.24 cumulative GPA) and women's (3.59 cumulative GPA) track and field teams were also named All-Academic Teams by the organization.

The Colonels finished ahead of the likes of Clemson, Kentucky, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Penn State, BYU, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio State, Auburn, and Louisville.

His winning time of 8:18.70 is the second-fastest steeplechase time in NCAA Championships history (and the fastest since 1979).
