After a runner-up finish at the EMU Fall Classic last weekend, George Kelly was recognized at the Big Ten Athlete of the Week.

George Kelly finished less than two seconds out of first place to lead a quintet of Wolverines in the top 11, as the Wolverines wrapped up their regular-season slate at the non-scoring EMU Classic.

On three consecutive Sundays in September and October, the Wolverines did a little bit of a different work out at Nichols Arboretum, serving as volunteers as part of Michigan's Let's Go Do community service program.

The 14th-ranked Maize and Blue will return to nearby Dexter, Mich., this Friday (Oct. 24) to cap its regular season at the EMU Fall Classic at the Dexter Mills Metropark. The race begins at 4 p.m.

After a 12th-place showing helped U-M tie for ninth at the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational last weekend, Mason Ferlic was recognized as the Big Ten Athlete of the Week.

No. 11 Michigan crossed ahead of 10 other ranked programs in finishing in a tie for ninth at the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational. Mason Ferlic was the top Wolverine finisher (12th, 23:59) in the 8K race.

The 11th-ranked Maize and Blue will travel to Madison, Wis., this Friday (Oct. 17) to compete in the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational, where numerous top-25 teams will be racing.

After capturing the individual title and helping U-M to a team victory at the Notre Dame Invitational last weekend, Mason Ferlic was recognized at the Big Ten Athlete of the Week.

Mason Ferlic topped the individual field by more than nine seconds, and the 19th-ranked Wolverines as a team also placed first at the Blue and Gold Invitational, which featured nine of the nation's top 25 teams.
