This Tuesday, the Yale track and field team begins what will be a two-week journey through Ireland and the UK. The quadrennial trip allows the Bulldogs to join together with Harvard athletes to create a single team that will ultimately face off against the combined forces of Oxford and Cambridge on June 29. The meet—first held in 1894—is steeped in tradition, as it is the oldest ongoing international athletic competition. Moreover, the Yale-Harvard squad has not lost the meet since 1993.
