The Central Michigan track and field team continued its success despite an hour lightning delay on Friday in day two of the 2013 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Championships.

After the first day of the 2013 MAC Outdoor Championships, the Central Michigan Chippewas look to build off the strong start of the javelin throwers and distance runners.

The Central Michigan track and field teams will be heading to the 2013 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Championships, May 9-11.

The Central Michigan track and field team sent members of its team to the 28th Annual Toledo Invitational to obtain more automatic qualifiers for 2013 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Championships .

In preparation for the 2013 MAC Outdoor Championships, the Central Michigan track and field team travels to Toledo for a final tune-up.

Senior Charnele Lyons lead the way for the Chippewas with three first-places finishes in the final home meet of her career.

Freshman Devene Brown broke the school discus record, a mark she set earlier this season, by almost 10 feet. Brown's throw also won her the College Women's Discus Throw Championship at the Penn Relays.

The Central Michigan track and field team will be hosting their only home outdoor meet of the season. They will be sending distance runners and throwers to compete at the Penn Relays earlier in the week.

The Chippewas took advantage of competing as a team this weekend and were able to come together to produce some quality performances

A majority of the Central Michigan track and field team will be competing at the University of Louisville on Friday Apr. 19, while the distance squad looks to hit their marks at Ohio State University .
