Vanderbilt's men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete at the Southeastern Conference Championships Friday morning in Gainesville, Fla.

The Vanderbilt cross country and track and field teams held their 8th annual Pumpkin Carving contest over the weekend to get ready for Halloween.

On Friday in Tuscaloosa, Ala. the Commodores men's and women's team raced in the Crimson Classic with the men's team finishing 15th (439 points) and the women's team sixth (196 points).

Vanderbilt's No. 25 women's cross country team finished 19th at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational on Saturday in Madison, Wis.

It will be a very busy weekend for Vanderbilt's cross country teams as the women's team will split into two teams with one headed to the Wisconsin adidas Invitational and the other with the men's squad to Alabama for the Crimson Classic.

Vanderbilt's No. 26 women's cross country team placed 13th in the gold division of the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday with the men's squad placing fourth in the blue division.

The men's and women's cross country teams head to Louisville, Ky. for the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday.
