Mark Wetmore: “Some is Tradition, Some is Brand New” | Running Times

As he closes in on a quarter century at the University of Colorado, Mark Wetmore has proven to be one of the most consistently successful coaches in all of collegiate athletics. Progressing from volunteering with the program in 1992 to head coach of the men’s and women’s team by 1995, Wetmore has produced six national championship cross country teams (men in 2001, 2004, 2006 and 2013; women in 2000 and 2004) and four individual titlists (Adam Goucher 1998, Kara Goucher (nèe Grgas-Wheeler) 2000, Jorge Torres 2002 and Dathan Ritzenhein 2003). Wetmore-coached Buffaloes have also excelled in NCAA track competition and on the post-collegiate international scene.
