The Lipscomb cross country squad ended another record-breaking campaign on Friday morning as its season came to an end at the NCAA Division I South Regionals in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

After another historically successful Atlantic Sun campaign, the Lipscomb cross country team is once again heading to the NCAA Division I South Regionals in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Wes Sherman ran cross country and track during the NAIA era. He planned a career in the sciences, but the art bug bit him hard and he has spent his career as a painter.

The Lipscomb cross country team had five student-athletes receive Atlantic Sun Academic All-Conference honors, as announced by the league offices on Wednesday. Ball was named the A-Sun Women s Cross Country Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

For the third year in a row, the Lipscomb women s and men s teams swept the Atlantic Sun Cross Country Championships. The win was the fifth in a row for the women s program, tying an A-Sun record, and the third consecutive for the men s squad.

The Lipscomb cross country program heads into Friday s Atlantic Sun Championship with two streaks on the line. The women s team has won four consecutive titles, while the men have won back-to-back championships.
