No Change in anticipation of this weekends big meets.

1. Michigan State - Dominated regional powers including Iowa State at Roy Griak after taking 5 of the first 22 spots.  Deep field at Wisconsin Adidas awaits Spartans.

2. Michigan - Handily won Battle in Beantown against Georgetown.  Headed to Pre-Nationals this Weekend.

3. Arkansas - They have dominated so far and have a national title contender in Scott.  They will finally battle other top teams at Wisconsin Adidas.

4. Oregon - Won Washington meet against likely Stanford team. It will be interesting to see Neer and Baxter open in two weeks. Running at Pre-Nationals

5. Florida State - Quigley led team at Paul Short that was crushed by Guelph and lost to a resting Georgetown.  Racing top teams at Wisconsin Adidas.

6. Georgetown - Lost to Guelph but clearly waiting to run hard in two weeks.  Running at Pre-Nationals against Wolverines again.

7. Colorado - Erin Clark ran great at Rocky Mountain Shootout, no Southerland yet.  Comes out of the Mountains to race first top-10 teams of the season at Pre-Nationals.

8. Stanford - Cranny debuted, waiting on Cuffe.  Young depth ran well in Seattle.  Young team facing deep field at Wisconsin Adidas

9. New Mexico - Dominated Notre Dame with Arter at the front.  Get to prove themselves against deep Wisconsin Adidas field.

10. Iowa State - Smith is great at developing strong distance programs.  Looking for a good race at Wisconsin Adidas.

11. Virginia - Has looked solid so far and dominated at Panorama Farms.  Must overcome performance at Washington Invite at Wisconsin Adidas.

12. Syracuse - 3rd at Battle in Beantown with first five within :39.  Deep field at Wisconsin Adidas.

13. North Carolina - Good frontpack at Roy Griak, 4-5 not set up yet.  Another chance to prove themselves at Wisconsin Adidas

14. Wisconsin - 6 returners from team that finished 21st last year.  Running at home Wisconsin Adidas.

15. Washington - 3rd at Washington Invitational with new #1 in Meyers. Still haven't run Nealle or Knight, top returners.  Great opportunity to give inexperienced team a tough race at Wisconsin Adidas.

16. William & Mary - five returners from team that finished 12th last year.  Stites is getting better too. Need to perform well at Wisconsin Adidas.

17. Villanova - Buttner ran well at Washington Invitational, team developing a good top 3 but not everyone running well at the same time. Headed to Princeton Invite next

18. Providence - Rocha is developing, still waiting for Collins to race.  Without Collins everyone will have to improve, we will see whether she runs in Wisconsin.

19. Butler - Top team not running where they will at end of the season. Resulted in disasterous 14th at Roy Griak.  Veterans need to run well at Pre-Nationals.

20. Boise State - Fourth at Roy Griak.  Good 1-2 but need 4 and especially #5.  Good top end at Pre-Nationals, need to score well.

21. NC State - Thompson is leading a good team that could move up with a good #5.  Taking a chance at Pre-Nationals

22. Boston College - Westphal won Battle in Boston but team finished fourth and 4-5 a concern.  Need a solid team performance to do well at Wisconsin Adidas.

23. Dartmouth - Giordano is running well as #1, 2-4 doing well too but need #5.  Need a good performance from #5 to be competitive at Wisconsin Adidas.

24. UCLA - Joined the men with a great meet in Seattle (4th).  Smith ran well in front and good pack behind them. Top 5 has 4 seniors.  Will need the experience at Wisconsin Adidas.

25. Baylor - Fifth at Roy Griak, Rachel Johnson has turned the corner since last XC season and become a top runner.  They will run at Pre-Nationals.

24 of top 25 teams competing this weekend, 16 at wisconsin Adidas and 8 at Pre-Nationals (only Villanova not running).
